Sunday School

Churches without children
are unenriched by the future,
though the formula for keeping kids enthralled
is an uneasy truce at best
when teaching above twelve.

They, like life place a floor under
our feet of immense movement
and range, sitting still in moments
of interest by choice alone
not at all like I imagine public school
with its truency laws and out laws.

Our highschool class
where girls asked for truth,
boys for laughter.
Without thest two
we would have neither.

The Bible forming
a guide independent
of exact belief (faith?)
on the treating
of one
another.

Both teachers learning
more in preparation
than in months
amongst peers
entering class armed with fears.
