Waterdog Lake

The summer'd been warm
We'd had no warning
of the chill that came down on us
that autumn.

he'd had no warning either;
Left soccer for a breather
trees and banks
hillsides, cranks

Oh no, oh no, it can't be so
how could you do this
to me, NO!
Eleven simple
joy filled years
Only to be washed
with Autumns tears

tears you heart
tears you soul
it's too late
to make
him whole.

He went along to Waterdog lake
a stranger called
his life to take
knife flashed before you,
You went dwon in trust
Ashes to ashes
and dust to dust.

A lot of kids
won't do that on
anymore.

It's the fear I fear
we've no use living in it.
Its not living.
Life's not over
Let us begin it,
I'm going alone to Waterdog Lake.
